Optimizing your site for the search engines can be smart, but there are right and wrong ways to go about it.
For SEO purposes, it’s a wise move to use several shorter articles on your site versus a very long article. Long pages get less weight than short ones. Additionally, visitors aren’t likely to read through articles that are very long.
Search Engine Rankings
To improve your search engine rankings, use many variations of your keywords, including misspellings, in the “metatag” area of your website setup. Search engines will be able to “read” the metatags and improve your sites search engine rankings. For example, if your site is about eyeglasses, you could use rabbit,” “kitten food,” and “cat chow.”
Additional ads on your pages do not necessarily mean a higher search engine ranking. You can always advertise, though this isn’t the way to boost site rankings.
